In 11th century men and women of upper class wore long tunics with flared sleeves with hose.Cloaks/mantles we a sign of upper class as the workmen mostly wore knee-length tunics.Men of the upper class did not wear hats or headgear where as men of the rural class wore hoods called chaperon.
